I will be replacing the weather strip around the vent windows on a 65 hardtop. Any tips or how to advise will be greatly appreciated.

Noticed no one has replied. I will be doing a complete door restoration in the winter including the vent window stuff. You need to look at the following posts using the "search" function:

replacing the weather strip is realitvly easy, its getting the vent windows to close after you get the new weather strip in thats the hard part

The vent windows are too bad if have about 4 hands. The first one is will take the longest. Once you get the window out of the door note that the frame has to be taken apart to get the old off and the new on. I think the best way to put on the new is to use a putty knife to push the weather strip into the window frame. It is not an easy task and will take the better part of an hour to do it. Don't get too frustrated as you attempt to fasten the pieces of the frame together and the window keeps falling out of the upper part of the frame. You will get it all together after a couple of tries. You can email if you want a more detailed approach.
