I need to move my motor mount to the front of the motor on my 68 Firebird with a 73 455 to clear power steering line for a rack and pinion. The motor has 5 holes. I plan on fabricating the frame mount. Does anyone know what year cars use either the front 2 or the front 3 holes on the motor? I trying to figure out what motor mount to put on the motor that mounts if the front. I think some of the Goats did but I'm not sure.
Thanks
Jim

If you are making your mounts, and need them out of the way, try (i hate part) using the frame mounts off a camaro. Ok, you can throw rocks at me now, and I'll help. But these kits with the rack setup are designed with the camaro only in mind. If you are making the part that bolts to the engine block, with the c part frame mount, you can make two 'tabs' to run down to that frame mount stand. If you don't want a solid type mounting, maybe try rigging something up along the same line with the later frame mounts that gm used on everything.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably make the frame part of the mount using 1/4" plate and square iron.
