Talk to Goathead, he has one on his nice 65 GTO. I plan on buying a setup for my 66 in the near future.

I've got a March system on my '69 GP, which is pretty much the same as a GTO, except for the huge room between the rad & pulleys. Here's a shot:

I like it. Installation was a breeze. Everything just bolted right up. The only thing you'll need to watch is the bolts. Don't take 'em out of the bags until you need 'em. Many are different lengths but only by a few thou. If you get 'em mixed up, you'll be measuring them with a mic.

Kerry, thats a pretty nice setup you have there. I am looking to do that to my T/A. How much did that setup run you? I have heard they are pretty expensive. I haven't really researched them yet.

I'm the guy that installed the system on Goathead's '65! It is the FULL March system, with Sanden A/C compressor.

My best advice is to use your common sense when installing it. I believe the problem lies in the differences between all the different water pump manufacturers. That is, the kit will include spacers that are machined to exact thicknesses, so that all the brackets will be aligned.

Well, unless you have the EXACT waterpump that March used to design the system, you may need slightly longer or shorter spacers at certain bolt holes. We had to shorten some, and use washers to shim others, in order to get it all to line up.

I also had to re-notch one bracket that fits to the passenger side head, for the A/C compressor. It did not properly fit around the lip of the valve cover.

It looks good, and works well, though.

I have the full March setup (Sanden A/C, P/S) on my 70 GTO. Works fine with a Flowcooler water pump. I like the way it cleaned up the front of the engine. Current project....I had March send me a spare crank pulley from this setup and I am measuring how much offset there will have to be for a centrifugal supercharger drive (50mm cog type, 81 tooth) to clear. Im going to have the March pulley duplicated with the blower drive added on so its a single piece. ASP can do this.

I was just looking at March's web site and the Pontiac serpentine system is $1033 for the one with A/C. Really pricey. I'll spend the money on something to make it run faster.

Bandit:

Yep, they're not cheap but my experience was good--as far as fit is concerned. I think the $1,033 is for the A/C system. I recall paying around $1,000 CAD for the non-A/C system.

Regarding whether the kit fits with various water pumps, I can't say but I know if fit fine with the Milodon unit I've got.

I'm expecting delivery of a Rodney Red system any day now. I have no a/c. cost was aroun 390 w/shipping. They use an off the shelf tensioner. There are a few folks on here that already have one installed. Once it arrives and I get it installed I'll post pics and feedback on installation.

WOOO HOOO!!!! Received my serpentine kit from Rodney Red. Hope to get it installed this weekend. I'll post some pics and feedback when I do. Took a while to get this since they only make a few at a time. It's currently only a side item. But they hope to start making more soon.

Mark,
Have you had an opportunity to put on that serpentine belt system? I would like to see what it looks like on and to see if you had any problems. I bought one too and I am preparing to put it on.
