Howdy. Welcome. #62's are good large valve heads. Your car should be a 350 horsepower 400. Thirty five years and at least I believe you said 27 owners anything is possible. There really wasn't a "smog" head in that time frame. Unless manufacturing large quanities of smog meets the requirement.

LOL@Davey

#62 heads were 1969 large valve heads usually found on '69 GTO's or Firebirds and Automatic '69 Judge's.

I don't remember any smog heads but I do remember asking why my 70 GTO didn't have an air pump which was very on Chevys. I was told that it wasn't needed do to the head design. ? Sounded okay to me. My SS396 buddies all had them though.

I think the Pontiacs that were sold in CA had Smog Pumps on them?At least I remember seeing a '66 GTO that was set up that way?

I would say the resonators are somewhat rare. I purchased a pair at the 1985 POCI show in Denver. They now reside on my 69 automatic GTO. Most people don't have the correct tailpipes/resonators on their car. It is a detail most people overlook. Good for you for obtaining them. I sure you could sell them should you so desire.
