WAS READING IN THE POSTS THAT SOMEONE WAS LOOKING FOR HIS FATHERS CAR,SINCE HE LOOKS LIKE HE GOT A LOT OF HELP ON THIS, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY SEEN THESE 2 CARS AROUND.
THIS WAS MY FIRST CAR I BOUGHT IN 1968, A 65 LEMANS HARDTOP IT WAS DARK GREEN WITH THE SAME DARK GREEN INTERIOR WITH A AUTOMATIC ON THE COLUMN, I CONVERTED TO DRAG/STREET CAR, I PUT IN A 327 CHEVY BUILT MOTOR,CONVERTED TO A 4-SPEED, AND A 12-BOLT REAR WITH 4:88 POSI. (IT RAN MID TO HIGH 11'S, NOT BAD FOR 1970-1973)I DO HAVE THE PROTECTIVE PLATE FOR THE CAR, I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER IN CONNECTICUT THE NUMBERS ARE: 23737P181406 02183 2 11 65 237859 YN LL36 23737P181406 Z19 MAO99 THIS IS THE WAY IT'S PUT ON THE PLATE. CAR #2 THIS WAS A 65 GTO DARK BLUE WITH BLACK INTERIOR 4-SPEED, WAS A 389 4-BBL. BOUGHT THIS CAR LATE 70'S EARLY 80'S FROM A GUY IN CONNECTICUT ALSO.BUT DON'T KNOW IF HE WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I ALSO HAVE THE PROTETIVE CARD ALSO. Take the VINs to your local DMV,(hopefully they know you)and ask it they will run them for you.The thing is maybe the cars haven't been registered in the state for several years or maybe thay are in a different state.Also(if your lucky)ask a local cop or State Trooper if they will run the VIN.Good luck!

There are many services out there for background checks. One of which is publicdata.com which also allows you to search a vin. It is not an all inclusive search and only covers the following states:
CO, FL, ID IA, KY, ME, MN, MS, MO, NE, NC OH, OR, TN, TX, UT, WI, WY I did not find either VINs listed as currently registered. That doesn't necessarily mean they are not around but, like my car, just without a current registration |
