Anybody ever deal with them ? I was once told to steer clear of them, but they are at so many shows. It seems more convenient to just do the exchange rather than spend big bucks on replating. Not to mention shipping cost.
Thanks. Mike. |

Run away from them. Assholes!!!!! They won't back up their warrenty. My front bumper pealed within 6 months and the rear started to discolor within a year. Nothing but junk. I repeat. STAY AWAY!!! You will be sorry. I hope I made it clear enough.

My bumper was excellent. The quality and finish is good and they were easy to deal with. I bought a 67 GTO rear from them. Had it at the show for me to pick up, traded in my core and away I went. So, for my my experience was positive.....sorry to hear what happened to Bud.
I've had the bumper for about 2 years with no issues anywhere.... Brad

I have to agree with Bud. My best friend bought a set of front and rear bumpers off of them. He swapped out his NOS bumpers (which were perfect, just needed replating) with a set they had already replated(NOS). When the bodyshop went to put them on...they both were racked just enough to mess everthing up. He called them and told them about the problem, they stated to bring them up to Carisle (a big car swap meet in PA) and they would take care of it. Well...got up there with the bumpers and showed them the problem and they initally wouldn't stand behind their product. After some VERY HEATED debating/coercion and bad publicity they were getting by the scene being made, they made good on their word. Just my 2 cents.

Seems to be hit or miss with them. I got a 67 rear a year and a half ago and it is absolutely excellent!! No problems.

I agree with Bud. Stay away from them. I had them redo my bumpers for my 62 Grand Prix. It took me logner than I thought it would until I was ready to install them. These bumpers were stored inside my house the whole time. I went to put them on this year and noticed a small spot on the corner of the front. When I wiped it off, the chrome came off in small sheets. I called them and told them about it and they said they would give me 20 percent off on having them done again. I told them to kiss my rear, and I would tell everyone what I thought about their work. This is a picture of the chrome when it came off.

I took a couple of very straight 72 GP core bumpers to them since they buy cores. Took them to the car show for inspection and they offered me a measly $15 each. Their price list says they turn around and sell them at $475 each. I wasn't impressed with them at all.

I got my rear bumper from them, two years ago. No complaints.
I fellow that I cruise with needed bumpers for his wifes 63 Vette. I recomended he try the Bumper Boyz. He picked them up the same time I did at the Syracuse Nationals, when he went to mount them he noted a small pin hole in one of the corners on the bumper. He called them and told them what was wrong and they told him to ship the bumper back to them under their accont and sent a replacement bumper that very day. Can't get any better customer service than that.

I got shafted, too. Bumper had discoloration, they sent me polish, which took the chrome off! Cores looked like they were pulled out of the Pacific. A $900 lesson for me.

I have a spot right next to hem at Springfield Oh. twice a year. I sit there all day watching them sell and inspect the bumpers. Some time they go through a number of bumpers until they find one that looks right. I hear the arguments off and on during the weekend. I won't buy from them myself. Aside of thier products they are some what unfriendly. There is another west coast plater starting up, they are not as big as the Boyz are but do better work and stand behind the plating. If I can find the name I'll post it.
