Oh, as I recall, there was nothing unsual about the nut but there is a locking type peice directly behind the nut, as part of the pulley, that you will have to hold to loosen the outer nut. I think it is real tight behind the nut and it may be hard to get a standard thick wrench in there. I think I had to grind some of the meat off mine to fit in there[?]. The very first thing I did was loosen the nut, then removed the pump. It may help a little if you leave the belts on until you loosen the nut to give a little more tention.
