Is the radiator cap the correct type, Is there a pressure release for it ? Looks like a screw on cap.
Is the alternator bracket supposed to be painted ? Mine is blue, is that correct ?
Do you have the fan guard for the top of the radiator ?

I like the fact that you hide the MSD, I am not a big fan of that bright ass thing in the engine compartment.

bolt too long on alternator top bracket, where is PCV and battery negative cable on the block? Two breathers will be a problem with PCV system.

Have you considered a K&N air filter?

The cap is 15lbs RC95 that RR sends with his radiators, the original 15lb cap didn't work for me. The Alt. bracket is supposed to be 60 degree black, I had mine silver cad plated instead...does it look bogus?

The Alt bolt is the original, or so I thought..I'll check that out. The negative battery cable is bolted to the front of the driver side head. No PVC system.....
I like the K&N but trying to stay are original as possible.....

Thanks!!

The gaurd goes on top of the radiator and extends over the fan. It has a hole in one side where the cap comes through. It also covers the the top Radiator bracket. I think it gives a much better finish in the engine/ core support area. In Py's catalog its on page 4-36 RPE. Maybe you just have not put it on yet.
It will need 4 cage nuts 3/8's ,I believe to mount it to the core support.
I guess my alternator bracket is wrong too. I like the blue, you do not see it. I kinda blends in.
One ore question. I put a new hood latch assembly on her and are they supposed to be gold cad or painted black ?

Oh, O.K, I think that's the guard if you do not use a shroud....

The hood latch assembly has a few colors. The coil, top and bottom ring are supposed to be silver cad, the bolt thru the coil is black, 60 degree. The hook latch is gold cad and the mount to the hood is gold cad......

Actually I have mine on with the shroud on also.
It looks much nicer than that top radiator brace.
How the hell am I supposed to paint the bolt black ? You know, I got the new latch assembly put on and the safety catch actually sits back too far, about an inch towards the motor than what it should be. I think when my paint man took the hood off and laid it down, it bent the bolt inside the spring. The hood would not latch. I think I am going to put the old catch back on. I think I am going to paint them all black to go with the rest of the underside of my hood.

What color is your car ? Looks like a bright red to me. I just painted mine torch red.

Yes, Torch Red, 95'. Cool color....
The bolt unscrews from the coil, mine was a little tough to get turned at first but a little lube and it breaks free...

I'm sorry, but I do not have a digital camera yet, I'm gonna get one here in the next few weeks.
Joe, was looking for a photo for the drivers panel for the remote mirror and window crank measurements too.

I might have an old photo of the car before it was restored with it on there, I will look through my old files. I will then have to figure out how to post it. Maybe I can email it to you.

Nice looking engine and I like the stealth MSD box. I painted the tanks and sides of my Rodney Red to give the compartment more of a stock look. I didn't paint the radiator core so painting the tanks won't (and didn't) affect cooling. Besides that and what others mentioned it looks stealthy. Is that a 400 or 455? How is it built to get 600+ hp with iron heads?

I'm sorry, that's 513 not 613...ops....613 would be nice thats for sure...it's a stroker with KRE heads. I was thinking of painting my tanks as well...any issues with it so far?

Issues with painting the radiator? No, paint still on mine. You have the updated tanks which are nicer. I also use and standard type radiator cap (again trying to look more stock than modded). 513 is still a good number . Solid roller cam I suppose and heads flow 250+?

272 on the heads. With hyd roller cam, lifters and rockers. I tried the stock cap but it didn't fit right...that was also the time when I was having overheating issues...maybe I'll try it again as I don't care too much for the black cap either....

Nice looking engine Bill. I read comments about your throttle cable assembly. Here's a pic of mine. Lokar cable and throttle bracket. About $40. Nice clean set up. I bought mine from Paul Spotts. If you'd like some more pics and details on the installation your welcome to email me at home. Took about 45 minutes to install. Mark

Brad, I hate to rain on your parade, but I think your engine stinks! It should be in my car that's why! I like your attention to detail! Very nice!
