racerboy,I thought I read in 1 of the catalogs that they were suppose to be natural in color here is another shot of my to low for me front coils(paid $150.00 will sell for $50.00) they are coming out next week...have a set of originals coming ,but I did order them for an ac car,(I dont have ac)hoping to get another 1/2 inch over stock,...I just have to get this right

Nope,they won't settle down!
After installing new springs front & rear. My springs never settled down 3 years. Could not even look out the rear view mirror. Had to buy cargo springs for the back to level it out. I will have to pull the front springs and cut some coils off. I really would like it repeated again the ratio of (drop in inches by cutting so much coil off. Who ever has done this sucessfully, Please repeat the ratio that worked. Thanks in advance.

This is why I went witha coil over set up so that I can udjust the height to whatever I want. It may be a little more expensive but it is definatly worth it.

A73, what coil over setup did you go with? I'm curious about the cost and difficulty of modification?

In my experience coil springs will settle. But not if the car is just sitting. The flexing the spring sees when the car gets driven will cause it to settle. I have Coil Spring Specialties on the rear of my 70, but they are high rate lowering springs. Up front is a coil over setup. Car sits a little lower than I had planned. Might go up a bit in the future.
