I want a set of 15x10 aluminum snowflakes... is this feasible? I have a modest stash of good cores in everything from 14x6 to 15x8 to work with. Anyone know who may be able to do it, and at what cost? Thanks!

There is / used to be a company in St.Louis that widened factory steel and alum. wheels, but I'll have to see if they are still around.

There was a guy on the board here a year or two ago that post pictures of his car with a 10" honeycomb and I think a 5".

Honeycombs are steel, so widening them is straightforward. I would like a set of widened Snowflakes too! So if we can find someone, maybe we can get a job lot.

Eric Vaughn Machine
210 E Pomona Avenue
Monrovia, CA 91016
phone: (626) 358-6413

I had this guy narrow a couple 16x8 GTA wheels for me. I asked him at the time if he could widen Snowflakes and he said he had done several. He did a good job for me.

Thanks for the info! I just spoke with Mr. Vaughn, he said he can do them, but for a pretty penny since we have to maintain clearance for the rotors and calipers.

I think Mark Doyle, had a pair of 8" snowflakes widened to 10" by a shop in Austin Tx.
He goes by "Hawkeye" over on the Classical Pontiac board, you may want to check over at C.P. and ask him.

Trigger,
I had my wheels narrowed several years ago, I think it cost me around $125~$150 per wheel. What kind of price did you get for getting the Snowflakes widened?

I was quoted $200 each to widen them towards the inside... IF he had the cores he needed laying around. At this point, I'm still looking for 13-spoke Western turbine wheels.
