We'll as you all know I installed that other cam and wasn't too impressed with it as it put my car out of its power range ,but on the recommendation of Mr.Hand I reset my centerline to 106 instead of 108 1/2 and installed rhodes lifters...I didnt take it out to the track or anything ,but I did take it around the block ...Roads were wet so couldnt get a good feel but all I can say is wow!!! It idles now with 14 inches in drive where before it had between 10-8 inches! And it feels much more responsive!!!I can hardly wait to try her for a full run!!
Thanks Jim!!!

I'm almost 11's with that grind (2802) right? I'm 1100 lbs less than you are. You'll be 12's.

Darby, I went my fastest with a stock converter. The rhodes should give you pretty good bottom end to launch the "Titanic".

Don't know if I have the problem solved yet, but I did set the engine back in the engine bay this weekend and am going there today to bolt it all up and get it running. Can't help thinking that it's a fuel problem that caused detonation. Good luck going low low 13's.
