I removed tht cat convertor on my 75 Lemans Sport. I have had it inspected twice since then and the only things tested were light brakes and wipers. They never once pulled the hood open.

There ya go, it's so rare to have a '70's car around here. Most of the cars here are in the junkyard by their 10 year, people just get rid of them when they need any work.
