I am trying to get mykey buzzer working. The columun and dash was never tampered with prior to my ownership. I have put in a new contact switch in the column. I have looked under the dash for broken wires, checked the door jam interior light switch etc. Now I need advice on what manual or restoration guide can help solve this great mystery, along with were under the dash the buzzer box is located. Thanks

The key buzzer is built into the horn relay under the hood by the brake booster, and it is very annoying and loud
 . Maybe it is just a bad buzzer/relay(It can be taken apart pretty easy to check for broken wires). Good luck!

Allen,
In addition to that horn relay on the firewall, there are a set of contacts in the steering column that actuate the buzzer depending on the key position. the contacts are located underneath the lock cylinder they get bent up or break over time, you cant get to them without taking the wheel and turn signal assembly off. You can check the horn relay and buzzer with a 12v power supply. I will get you the pinout later today. I have a spare and I will take it to work and hook it up. Thanks everybody, and Judge ITO I look forward to and appreciate the pictures you are sending. I took the steering wheel off some time ago thinking I had a bad contact. I replaced it at that time with a new one thinking everything would be fine. No such luck. I am fairly sure I put the new one in correctly though.
