Who knows the proper code and paint manufacturer for a base/clear euratheyne version of this paint?

PPG Deltron DBC custom mixed Iris Mist (DBC50693 Iris Poly), is this correct, or is this a lacquer paint?

I might be mistaken, but I think in HPP, they just did a article just on this color.
August maybe, I was laying by the pool reading it this summer.

Maybe this will help.
I think there is a Chebby color that crosses over also. Rare color.

Yes, they did, but I think that was the code for laquer, I want a base/clearcoat version...thanks

Its the same code as the Urethane.

Deltron DBC is a base coat for a urethane system. Good luck on the match. I am currently doing full restorations on a red '71 Plymouth GTX and a two tone blue '56 DeSoto, and I am having a really tough time getting the PPG tech lab to formulate a good match on either one with DBC. I spent an hour at the local jobber today while he tinted away, and I am no closer.
The next job on my schedule is a 383 '71 Cuda convertible that is Lemon Twist Yellow, and I'm gonna use Dupont.

Well every painter has his favorite and your painter's is obviously not PPG. Martin Senour has quite a few old formula conversions, I can look it up and see if they convert Iris Mist. irgoatmike

Well, Martin Senour converts the Iris Mist to a modern Tec Base formula # 44084 and as an important side note, there is a disclaimer that states "Approximate Basecoat match to Original Finish-May require tinting". I hope this gives you another option at least. Good Luck! irgoatmike
