I am working on a 1970 gto with a bracket under the left side dash but it has a vacuum switch not a ram air cable. The switch has 2 hoses about 4 feet long that a not pluged in to anything. What is this for? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like VOE (Vacumn Operated Exhaust) I believe this was a 70 only option. Pull the knob and it operated a vacumn motor to both mufflers to make it louder. I'm sure the original mufflers are long gone so that is why your hoses don't connect to anything. Jimmy
