We are finalizing plans to offer a service that replaces the worn or faded webbing from your seat belts on your 62-72 Pontiac. Also, we have the ability to provide brand new Seat belt assemblies in most COLORS. Finally, we are experimenting with a retractor assembly that would be available in most colors. The webbing would probably not have the 'identical' pattern as original, but it would only be noticible to the most descrimating concours individual. Here are a couple of questions we would be interested in your feedback.
Thanks. --------------------------- Fool around, Get hurt, don't come crying to me.

Uhm,
"I've benn lucky with finding great condition seat belts, like all the time." - Quote Half-Inch Stud circa 1980s. "I cannot find even a pair of decent seat belts. fugggeddaboud a whole front set or a whole back seat set. Fugggeddaboud matching buckles for the car year or interior grade." - Half-Inch Stud 2003 I think the seatbelts are piled-up in storage next to the 68-72 Pontiac replacement stereos. There seems to be many good used seatbelts around, but colors like light tan, red and blue are hard to find with consistent color.
About 1/100 people actually realize that there are many different webbing styles, so that should not affect the demand. |

restored by them and they look great. new webbing, rechromed mounts, new retractor covers in the proper color, oh yeah-they ain't cheap. they can also restitch the date tags back on if they are still good. |

Because of a local source, We just have an interesting opportunity to supply PY customers with our versions of this service at a potential savings. Take note that we have no intentions of restoring customers actual chrome buckle assemblies. --------------------------- Fool around, Get hurt, don't come crying to me.

I would definitely be interested in a re-webbing service for the front belts with retractors. Snake Oyl did my driver's side belt a few years ago with good results, but a less expensive source would be welcome!
Also needed are reproductions of the plastic seat belt related parts such as the covers for the tunnel mounted front belts and the plastic buckle covers used in 79-81. |

What is the status of selling reproduction retractor seat belt assemblies for GTOs? This is something that people would surely buy. At this point, I am looking at buying the J. C. Whitney belts with chrome lift latch buckles. They at least look like what I have seen in early mid 60s Pontiacs. No insult to Performance Years, but nothing in your catalog looks like GTO seatbelts. They have a very generic, aftermarket appearance. Any plans to produce or sell a complete seat belt?

What I mean is, for example, the 1966 deluxe seat belts with retractors that you used to list in your catalog. When I went to buy them, they were no longer carried. Any plans to make them again? Otherwise, its J.C. Whitney, as I want my seat belts to look new, so used assemblies are not under consideration.

The 66 Female buckle ended up being the wrong style for Pontiac. We are currently restoring the retractors though. We can do 65-67 deluxe. This is the type that has two little rectangular openings in the retractor cover that the actual retractor housing clips into.

Ccass, Did this seat belt service get up and running? There is a question about finding '70 Sandlewood seatbelts in the Judge section, and I have not been able to find '70 Saddle seat belts.
