Decided to post this in the body section too ...
posted July 13, 2004 01:40 AM I am almost done making a Lemans into a GTO clone - it is a 69 convertible. All that is left is the front clip. I have the endura bumper, headlight bezels, grills, headlight backing plates and all brackets, including the Endura Brackets. Plus, the GTO valance panel and all related parts for that. Has anyone done this conversion? I am wondering if the radiator core support was the same for a Lemans and GTO. Also, any other tips or suggestions from someone who experienced this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

The core support should be the same for both as long as the Lemans was a v8 car.

Thanks Steve - The Lemans was originally a 350 - now it has a 400. I ordered a repro core support for it from PY. I figured if I take the bumper off, might as well replace the core support, which is rusted under the mount on the driver's side.
