The hood on my 79 TA is sitting higher then the top of the nose. I tryed lowering the hinge and the 2 pins on each side of the hood to have it sit lower, but it just wouldnt latch. Is there a secret to getting it to sit flush? Goin down the highway it catches so much wind it gets pretty scary. It sticks up about 1/8 - 3/16 over the nose. Could I raise the nose, or is there a more simple solution?

Thanks!

I believe that you can adjust the hood latch down some, Loosten the bolts holding the latch assembly in and let it down a little bit and retighten and recheck.

You can raise the nose by all the small screws along the top edge. Often they have stripped out and don't clamp really good though.

See if the two rubber bumpers at the front are hitting the hood. They are the up and down limiter at the front.Screwing them down generally gets it there.

I have already tried lowering the hinges. The 2 bumpers I also already lower with no prevail. I will try raising the nose and see how that works out. Thanks

There was a response on your other post that you should try as well, as long as it doesn't mess up your fender/hood alignment - loosen the hinge to fender bolts and pivot the rear up/front down, then retighten. Mark the original position and any corrections with whiteout or something similar so you can see how your corrections are working.
