I need an upper left ball joint for a 65 Cat and cant find any at the local parts stores. Anyone ever had this problem? I know i got one for the right side about a year ago but now no one seems to have them. Does anyone know of an easier way of getting one in the SF bay area without having to order online and wait for shipping?

thanks!

Kanter, because all the major stores order this stuff from Warehouses all over the country, so you will have to wait on it from whoever you purchase from and local auto stores won't have the 65 full size ball joint in the warehouse locally.

my 70 takes the same ball joints , and they are tough to find. i called kanter and was advised that it would be about the same price to order 4 ball joints as it would to order the entire front end kit. eventually i ended up buying the kit , unfortunately the only thing that i was not satisfied with was the upper ball joints. they had made in mexico stamped on them and the shafts were too long. when the nut was tightened to specs , the cotter pin was at least 1/2 below the nut so there was no way to lock it in. the only ones i have found are NOS on ebay , but be prepared to pay $$$. sometimes you have to buy one at a time to make a set.

Give these guys a call, A&D Autoparts in North Royalton, OH (Cleveland) 440-237-9300. They have found everypart, I have needed for my 65 Cat. Competitive pricing as well.
