Hi everybody. I am mainly into GTOs but a friend of mine have a ´64 GP. He wants to install an original Pontiac Tach but don´t know how. He wants info concerning hooking up the electrical. Any help you can give us would be appreciated. Hans / Sweden.

the tach would mount on the Left side of the dash, in the curved part and is mounted with an adapter. These adapters are getting hard to come by. If your car comes with the Vacuum gauge, the tach will also mount there and was mounted there on some Manual Trans cars. Wiring for the tach is 3 wires. 1 wire to 12 Volt+, 1 wire to negative side of the coil, and 1 for the light. I can't remember the particular colors and which goes where. I hope this helps a little....
