Does anyone have a good source for a listing of rear end codes for big cars from 1960 thru 1965. The build sheet on my '64 Grand Prix says "WH" in the axle box, and I haven't had a chance to look at the actual stamping on the rear end.
Thanks, Paul |

But... if the hog's head has been changed the axle color may not tell the whole story. You'll have to see the raised # on there to know what you have for sure.

Where is this stamp located? My shop manual says it's on a little flat surface on the axle tube to the right of the differential. Mine, naturally, is blank.
Been trying to determine the ratio on my 66 Cat... |
