Well know this is the race forum but wondering if some of you guys drive your cars with racing type rci
fiberglass buckets .Are they ok for an hour or so on the street..how about a two to three hour trip.?? Or can you just throw some pillows on there. I like the way they look and they are light. My car is mostly a street car but will see some track time..probably only two or three times a year max. 80TA,pontiac 400,edelbrock carb, accel wires, dual exhaust, dynomax mufflers,no cats. CE subframe connectors. 99TAWS6 ..lots of mods.

I don’t think I could last more than an hour on the road in my RCI seats. Now if I was 18 again….

I don't think they are too bad. The trick is to get the angle right so you sit comfortably and slip a 1 1\2 inch strip of soft foam between the seat and cover. It really helps alot.

Exactly what he says. I sit in mine all the time, hour or two no problem, I actuall like the contour, but I did add some foam to the inside of mine.

I will add a third to that, mine are great now that I have them mounted at a comfortable angle and added a little padding!

Hi Al,
I had a lower lumbar disc fusion 2 years ago on 2 levels from a work accident. I have the RCI buckets in my pro streeter which is a pretty solid ride to begin with, 4 link and coil overs on a tube chassis. Not much forgiveness. I drive this mother everywhere. They aren't Caddy seats but they do me and my back ok. Oh, RSB, You're wife should be the one taking the Advil knowing that you're coming home!

Had a set for a while in my 64 goat. Backs of seats came way up towards roof. Little difficult on the visibility for street. Kinda looked like two tombstone heads sticking up!...lol But the comfort level wasn't all bad......
