OK, stupid question for those familiar with the 9" Ford rear. Pretty sure I know the answer, just looking for confirmation.

Is the pinion gear perpendicular (ie - 90 degrees) to the face of the housing (where the third member mounts)?

That's what I thought. Will be mocking up motor plates for the funny car upon coming home from Norwalk.
