Hello again. I posted this question a while back. The 66-67 GTO center link is expensive and the 64-67 Chevelle line is less. I asked before what the difference was and could it be used? It was suggested to try a 68-72 which is a lot less expensive. I could not get it to fit because the grease fitting would hit on the bolt for the contol arm. I believe it would still hit even without the fitting. I spent an hour kicking around, trying this and that and there is no way I could get it to go. I can't afford to try anything again. So, back to the orginal question. Will a Chevelle link fit, what are the differences? I need a 100% "sure it will" or "don't take the chance". I am unemployed and this is my only car now. hi i have owned a 67 for 5 yrs. now and have always bought parts thru py and ames. 2 years ago i spent 200 for a center link thru 1 of the above and fit perfectly. my way of thinking is if you are a proud owner of a mid 60s goat give it only pontiac parts, she deserves only the best....

the Chevelle link will not fit. The tie rod ends are also different. Our RPU137 66-67 GTO, Tempest & LeMans Center link has been $125 for 10 years. We have sold 100's and never received a return.

Thanks Ccass. That is ALL I wanted to know. I really don't need to be told about using Pontiac parts. I have been unemployed for a while and am simply trying to do all I can to keep my car. I will use left over ford parts it will allow me to drive my GTO. I am obviously not a purest, I can't afford to be and even if I could, I would rather allow those rare NOS Pontiac parts to those of you that enjoy your garage cars. That is your thing and it is so great that you have the interest and the means to save a peice of automotive history in it's correct form. My GTO is my baby, it allways turns heads, never lets me down and as far as anyone knows, it is still pure GTO. I get a rush every time I drive it and all my problems are left in the dust. I am the classic example of a TRUE car person and I love it. P.S. the odds are that most of the parts that ANY parts place sells are aftermarket and not actual Pontiac anyway. I have bought Performance Years parts before and have allways been happy with them. If I get a chance and can afford it, I tow my boat to a local lake and have received some unwarrented remarks from purest about it being a "sin" or something. I am not a samrt person, so I can't comprehend why your are pissed that I am simply enjoying my car. I am sorry that you feel this way and I am sorry if I offend anyone but if I do then you have really don't love your car or have you never had been scared to the point that you have to make a choice.

I was the one who suggested the 68-72 centerlink, as I have one on my '67 now. Not sure why it didn't work out the same, but I will crawl under my car tonight and take a good look at the fit...
