You can find a used Accel DFI 6 fairly reasonable ($400-800). You will also need to get injectors, sensors, fuel pump, fuel rails, throttle body and get an intake modified for the injectors. A laptop will make tuning a lot easier but you can just use you home PC.
If you want to go with a manual injection I believe Ron's injection (aka flying toilet) is probably one of the least expensive. I'm probably going to use a GM computer from a Tunedport and program the PROM chip myself. It's a lot of work but it's probably the cheapest way to go. None of it is cheap.
