The pedal hanger is different on a 67 A body than it is on a 66. You can switch the pedal hanger but you will also need the correct brake and clutch pedals because they are also different. A 68 Gran Prix tilt column can be made to work in a 67 A body, the difference is that an A body has a longer steering shaft. If you match up a 68 Gran Prix tilt column to am early Camaro they are the same length, I would assume it will also work in a early Firebird. A 67 A body tilt column sold recently on Ebay for $710.00.
