Mike/Jack/Troy,
Just got back from work in FL, so the thrashing will begin tomorrow. Are we going to pit together? I see Mike is going to be there early Friday. Are you holding some spots Cowboy? Jack/Troy, when were you planning on getting there? Herb

We run the NSS and they(NSS) generally reserver some places ...nothing in concrete though...see you there. I'll try to pit close to every one if possible. Herb </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I saw Lil Jack go 8.75 @ 153mph today. Tons of cars were there. It was the first time I went to Cecil County Dragway. Nice place. Still don't have my car ready to race

NSCA "bake and fry" today at Cecil County.
Lil' Jack went 8.75 @ 154 today in terribly humid 90 degree heat (I'm totally sun baked). He was in the 8.70's all day but I think that was his best overall run. 32 pill in his fogger and 3500+ lbs. race weight. He's allowed to run as large as a 34 pill in his class. Race directors put some funky goop on his nitrous fittings to make sure the jets weren't being changed (they did it for everyone). Race directors also told him he was allowed to weigh as little as 2900 lbs. I think. The rest of his field are all running 7.70's-7.80's...but they're all running BIG engines (632 inches in most cases), so Jack has his work cut out for tomorrow. Troy Tribby was running 12.01-12.02 all day, which will work out great for his American Muscle Car "no breakout" index class. Herb Hagen was a little quick today for his index, running high 10.90's. Gotta' slow it down to 11.00 or a little slower. Bruce Maichle was running 8.70's and is poised to take a class win tomorrow. His next closest competitor is nearly 2 tenths slower, but could pick up tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliment Scott. I can't wait to make some runs either. I have the interior guy set up to make the slots in my seats for the harnesses next week. Then all I have to do is change the converter, hook up the neutral safety switch and the battery shut off. I hope to be making passes in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to Norwalk!!!! If there was a chance I needed motivation, yesterday at Cecil was all the temptation I needed.

I had a good time at Cecil. I squeed out a 8.690 @ 156 but lost first round.
It was 90* and 59% humidity and a 3700' altitude. |

Bud,
I went out first round, losing by .0118 (MOV), just couldn't catch the slower car. I had a .040 reaction to his .049, ran 11.079 to his 12.059, but it wasn't enough Mike went red in the second round to Charlie Fishback, who he beat the day before when Charlie lit the red bulb to give Mike the Class runoff win. First time in 2 years Mike has gone red in eliminations. Bruce did the Pontiac crowd good again with his win in RS, nice job Bruce! Lil Jack did an awesome job running a 8.69/156 w/100 less CID and weighing 600# more than most of the class. Way to go Jack, can't wait to see that performance with better air Troy, locked down the #3 spot in NSS and was on the # all weekend, good job Troy. A lot of the Pontiac faithful were in attendance as well. Including Scott Rex, Bob and Frank from AllPontiacs, Jim Zeek and his daughter, Don Benner, Bill Bolin, Russ White, Brian Baker and Bill Weyrich (OPDS racers). Had a good time, glad Mike/Ken kept on me about coming to race and I will be back again. By the way, it was HOT!!! you can cook a steak on my forehead, I am fried, LOL! I will be spectating in 2 weeks @ Milan, MI, as I will be in Milan working that weekend. No time to race with my work schedule, so the car will have to stay home. Thanks, Herb
