Brian, That has been a two way street. Sometimes people ask about N2O and Ray responds, with more experience than anyone else on here and he gets attacked. What do you think is going to happen? How many has went as quick as Ray with a Pontiac that wieghts as much as his car? Then the armchair crowd starts in with gossip, or cutting his efforts down or saying he doesn't know something when clearly he does know what he is talking about. Ray has had some problems, but none were meltdowns which is very easy to do if the N2O and tuneup isn't applied correctly. There are people in Rays class that even after their experience are still melting down the pistons plus the same problems Ray has had. But guess what? His competition are concerned that oneday, the guy with the smallest budget in the class is going to get all together and step it up and they feel like they will be seeing the T/A taillights at the finishline. Iwas told that by at least two crewmembers of other teams and one driver. They can't believe that a guy who is basicly doing it on his own is out mph many of them all the time. It's getting there and when it is, lookout competition.

Ray has more nitrous experience on here than anybody? When did he start using it, when he was 12? 'Dude was street racing with the stuff when Ray was picking his nose in 6th grade sex-ed class.

And Ray helping others with nitrous? Is suggesting to a young guy that is just wanting to run a 150-HP shot that he should run a $900 fogger and get a crank trigger help? He'd have more money in that get up than in his motor.

Not knocking Ray's accomplishments...when he's on his game, the car is simply flying...but it could be flying faster yet if he took the time and paid attention to the details. I do feel however that, after only getting the car flying consistently for one season (if you want to call it consistent) that Ray is getting a little too big for his britches.

Brian Sadam was running Iraq when i was in 6th grade too does that mean he was doing it correctly? and Id rather buy a 6-9 hundred dollar Highly tunable nitrous kit than rings bearings or pistons from trying to tune with a progressive, but too each there own Im done giving advise on the board, if people want it they can call or email meIm not sure why you think Im to big for my briches,any advise I give anyone is free and to the best that I can, I dont try to sell them the parts to do it with or make anything from it. go ask any other fast car in my class to tell you there nitrous tuneup or combination, do you think they will tell you? I tell everyone jet sizes fuel presures and all, the only thing about my attitude is if your wrong I will say so and not sugar coat it if that bothers you live in a much easier neiborhood than I do.

I go out of my way to help anyone I can on and off the track with pontiacs. I get calls & email from board members all day long for help.
even at Bradington over the weekend byron and I helped for 4 hours or so on a firebird that couldnt pass tec. and because of our help he did not one but two photo shoots on sat and sunday for popular hot rodding and fastest street car mags! he was loading up to go home since tec wouldnt let him race. I have had my share of guys helping at the track too! without Mini dude we wouldnt have made it on suday last year and without Herb (goatnad) and TTs I wouldnt have made a run in Belrosa last year
I dont have an attitude , I just say it like it is and some poeople dont like that or cant handle it

and as far as attention to detail I pay all the attention I can but some days there just is no more time to pay with!

Actually, regarding Saddam, with his goal being a totalitarian dictator, YES...he was doing it correctly. What this has to do with the topic at hand, I have no idea, unless you are inferring 'Dude didn't know what he was doing as well. If so, your analogy is ridiculous, as we're dealing with the here and now, and the accumulation of years of experience and knowledge, something that 'Dude has at least a 25 year head start on you.

Let's keep it in context too. You're talking $900 foggers and expensive crank triggers when this kid was talking just putting a 150 shot on his basically stock combination. What works for you won't work for him, and if you can't see that, you shouldn't give advice on it.

Your out of line inferring that someone has to buy parts or services from 'Dude in order to get good, free advice from him. How much free advice have you yourself gotten from 'Dude before you got too big for your britches? And how about free parts?

and as for advice ask langer, TTs poncho shop and others, that have raced with me I generally dont listen to anyone, even when they try to tell me how to do things. I feel istening to to many people is what gets a lot of racers in trouble. I do wish I had listened to Langer and TTS about the proper way to do the trans last year. because if I had I would have gone a lot faster.

and even though I dont agree with some of the advice ken gives I have sent him costomers 3 times in the last month, including this weekend at the track such as Gina for belts , and globo for rods
