I've heard that there is a simple modification required to the harness plug when exchanging from light to gauge package. Two wires need to be swapped. Page 144 of the Pontiac Restoration Guide shows the printed circuit and pin out assignment for 68-70 GTO's to be identical. I'd like to hear from someone who has completed this swap and advise what modification (if any) are needed for the 68. Thank you in advance.

I did this swap on my Black 68, real easy. Just carefully remove and swap the #5 (tan gas gage) and #7 (brown gen light) wires on the dash pod connector. Your done!
