After doing several searches on the subject, I am more confused than ever!
I want a set of 15x8 Rally 1's for my GTO. It is a '66 Convertible, with a '71 Corporate 10 bolt out back. The fronts have been modified with disk brakes (Hotchkis uppers and '78 TA spindles). I was thinking of putting 15x7's on the front. What backspacing and tire size combinations will work with this car? "I open up three deuces, I'm Never Coming Back!" |

I think you really need to measure your car given the non-stock front and rear (and both sides since most rears are not exactly center). Easiest way would to mount a set of 15 inch wheels on your car and physically measure the clearance, then calculate what you can do from there. FYI I have the wider '70 12 bolt in my 65, my custom 15x8 Rally IIs and custom 15 x 8 plain steel wheels both use 275/60 drag radials and a lot more backspace because of wider rear (5.25 inches on one side, 5.00 other). On the front I could't run as much tire because of my HO Racing swaybar. Good luck, Tim
