I bought a 1982 Trans Am with some MR and MSE badges. The body is solid interior needs some work. No motor or transmition. The guy I bought it from was talking about it being a Mecham Trans Am ???? I plan to fix it up as a daily driver or is this TA something I should reevaluate further? What is this TA worth? I paid $2000 because the body and dash is in good shape. Did I get ripped?? I will have to checkmy back issues of high performance pontiac for the mecham decals. $2000 and no engine or tranny? If it is a mecham, wotrth a little more than a reg T/A. the motor/suspension is what made the difference.

My dad has a 82. Ran like crap, the motor is messed up. BUT the car handled awesome. I drive new Fbodys on a regular basis and that car will out handle them all day long.....
He is now planning on rebuilding the car completely. its #44
