Me and my buddy just picked up a 1970 Lemans Sport. Here's the cardomain site for it.

1970 Lemans Sport

We're going to slowly get it up to working order enough to pass inspection and get antique plates then we're going to mod it into our own cruising muscle car. Let me know what you think.

FarFire 70 your state is cold with snow right. I find it amazing that cars are still in original paint in snow and cold areas after all those years. I think it is a great find. I wish cars up here in Canada were in that condition when found.

obvious signs of it being a GTO are the Endura nose (as opposed to a chrome bumper on LeMans's), the GTO emblem on the rear, and the hood tach. Check the VIN, if it starts with 24237 it's a GTO, if it starts with 23737 it's a LeMans Sport, or 23537, it's a LeMans.

that's not orig paint on this car. the white on the flats in the pics is clear delamination.

the pic of the rust on the 1/4 looks like filler showing to me.

also the wheels on the car are buick ralleys instead of pontiac as stated in the photos.

all in all it looks like a good project.
i'd also be curious to learn the first 6 letters of the vin.
