im going to put on my new quarter panels.i thought i would glue them on.can some one explain to me the process?how shall i prepair the exsisting panels for adhesion?should i epoxie prime the panels im going over?

I don't know if you are joking or not, but it is possible to "glue" on. I work in the big truck industry and believe it or not, The T-2000 and 387 cab structures that Peterbilt and Kenworth make are 80% bonded together. As far as preparations, start with a clean piece of metal to ensure proper adhesion and if it is available to the public, use an Ashland Adhesives brand adhesive. They make several air cure adhesives that will yeild excellent results should you choose to go this route. I hear that bonded body panels are the way to go. I know a person that had a bonded together prostreet ford ranger that one the overall autorama show circuit. Keep us posted I am sure there are others out there that are curious to know how it turns out.

i have heard that glueing is a new and better way to install body panels.ive done the welding process and its hard to keep from getting wavy results.i want to bond them on this car so,if any one can give me any advice it would be most apreciated

bukey, Fusor is a good product. You can get it at body supply stores. They have some info too. I think Len at http://www.autobodystore.com/has a instructional video I believe. Good Luck.

http://www.lord.com/Default.aspx?tabid=930 I'm planning to do this on some small patch panels myself. If you're not using Fusor name brand products, I expect the technique is still going to be about the same.
