Where did you buy your seat covers from ? What was the "brand". I am about to order a set probably from Ames but still not sure.

I bought them from NPD. With the seat buns and springs It was enough to get the shipping for free. PY was the cheapest, but they did not have the color in stock. They are PUI, I think it's the only one available. Overall the quality is good, but the seem split on one of the seat bottoms when I stretched it over the seat. I took it to an upholstery shop and they stitched it back together. The guy said the bobbin did not pick up the stitch at that point so it split. He said it happens sometimes.

All you need is the hog rings, hog ring pliers and a heat gun. It was not that tough, but it will try your patience. The trick is getting the listing strips hog wringed in good to get your bolsters to have some contour. Getting the hog rings through the cover, foam, then the material covering the springs and hooked into the spring themselves is a major pita. But if I can do it, so can you! |

Man, did I ever wear the fingerprints off my hands doing that. I finally got smart and got my duckbill and regular vise grip pliers and wrapped the jaws over with electrical tape. This allowed me to strech the material really tight after warming with a blow drier. ....and don't spare the hog rings.
