Your best bet is to go to www.nadaguides.com.
You get to use it free 5 times a day. Remember, it's just a guide!

I have alway said that the value of a car is what you are willing to pay, or if you are selling what it takes takes to buy. Over the years I have seen some rediculous prices paid for something somebody wanted real bad, and have come across some real good deals as well. documentation and paperwork always add value to any vehicle.
In my opinion nice unrestored cars are worth more than something that has been chopped or butchered to make look new again. In other words I would pay more for a number 2 or 3 car that is mostley original, than to pay primo price for a ground up restored car. |

Hey akron Ohio! YSU Penguin grad here! WHat type of car? Value is very subjective. I agree with AKRON buy an original unmolested #2 or 3 car. And by all means go West and get one. You may pay a little more but you will have a rust free car to start with. Also with a nice #2 or #3 your not afraid to drive it. My friend did a complete frame off on a LS5 70 SS chevelle. He has driven it 200 miles in the past two years.

Stevep,
What do you do if your car combo is not on that site? Like mine is a 71 lemans, 62,000 miles with a 69 428 w/64,000 miles. replaced the 10 bolt with a 12 bolt. ALL sheet metal is original no rust. would there be a different site you would know of for something like that? Thanks

It is #1 condition, and is worth over $20K if it is worth a buck!!! Just kidding! Actually, it seems a bit more realistic than some of the others, but it really is what the market will bear. The right buyer at the right time could give you more than what you would think you car is worth. That is why you see so many "show cars" with for sale signs neatly painted on the windows.

I must say the above referenced guide is low. Find me a #'s matching #2 69 Convertible for $15K and I will show you a $5000 tip.

You have to remember that these figures come from auction sales.
I remember when it said that my 421 HO 2+2 was worth $9000.00 in #1 condition. It's just another reference point. Lethal Lemans, you just have to use good judgement. I do not know of any guide that gives a value of a modified car.
