I got that same wire available...to do nothing.

Was hoping it was a switched 12Volt line or something useful....Still unused.

kinda what I figured after pondering all day....hate it when that happens....after disassembly and reassembly of this car, I am becomming very intimate and very good at "put it on then take it off and put it on again and then take it back off and reassemble it and put it back on again" type of thingys

I ran a wire within that harness to power an electric fan set. Really hoped to find how I could use that 'mystery wire' to operate a relay.

I would guess it's for the optional horn.

Does it have a lug with inside star-washer hole? If so, it might be the ground that goes to the radiator support.

I believe that is for a horn. There were dual horns in the 69's. On is attached to the center support, the other to the drivers side front. Put a 12VDC test light into the receptical and blow the horn, if it lights up, there's your answer.

that's what I thought in 1990. So it atill hangs open, while I patch-wired Dual horns to the single, central horn wire.

It is for the center horn. I am not sure if dual horns were an option or standard, I have always seen 2 horns on a 69 bird but if the wire is black with a single female spaded clip then...there ya go.

I was scrathing my head and tearing up the garage looking for a horn jumper wire that I thought I took off and lost.

I've got two black wires running into a single spade terminal on the front LH side harness. It is for the LH horn. One black wire runs from the horn relay to the spade terminal and the other wire runs from the spade terminal to the other horn connector spade terminal.
