First of all, are there ANY repair manuals for the 1996 Grand Am out there?
Second, I need to access my instrument panel light bulbs ( I have two that have gone out) One is behind the speedo and the other down by the HVAC controls.
Also, my gas gauge is possessed. Last night I started the car the gauge went from half to full then as soon as I backed out of the driveway it went back to half again (which is where is SHOULD have been) any clues??????
HELP

To get a service manual go to Helms web page. http://www.helminc.com
Its a little pricey at $120.00, but if will have all the info you will ever need.

Did you get the car fixed?
its been a while since your post.
first your guage sending unit it wasted.
thats why the fuel guage is all over the place
Very common.
second.. the lights. Its a small pain to remove the cluster. but its straight forward.
the A/c controls, the lights cant be changed. you have to replace the whole unit.
