After reading Smoking tires post i have a question.Lets start with this, i just bought a 70 Lemans that was built in Oshawa Ont it's an all original car.The engine is a pontiac 350 2bl and 350 turbo. If Canadian cars came with chevys was this a special order? It's all numbers matching. There is still the leaded fuel only sticker on the valve cover. The car has only 66,000 miles on it.There is also the 140 mph speedo but it doesn't have the wood grain dash.So i guess what im after is this a rare car? I bought it from a guy in northern Ont kind of like the old man who had it in his barn. The car is in great shape for 35 years old. It's ready for the road right now. Like in my other post ijust don't like the look of the frame so i'll switch it if i can. From what i can see nobody has molested this car in anyway it is bare bones stock.I number crunched the vin and it says it's a Tempest custom? Sorry for the length, just wondering. Thanks Darren

DERREN,
He stated in his first post it was a SBC car.
also says ". Also it has the 140mph speedo and i belive a suntach ,i couldn't reall see as theirs stuff all around it in the barn..
also i belive its woodgrain trim.."

I see what you are saying, there are a few things that sound funny.

Scott,
On my 71 Lemans it said unleaded fuel only
on the back side of the plate holder. Mine was built at the Pontiac Mich. plant.
