Then borrow money from mom.

The goat is an investment - it's value bottomed out long ago and is only going up.

dump the Bishi - any equity you may have in it now will decay asymptotically.

Is this a trick question???

Which one will you want to own in five years? What will each of them be worth then?

There's your answer.

With some of the money you get from selling the Mitsubishi, you could solve the "hot" and "unreliable" and maybe even help the "gass guzzling" of your Goat!

I'm sure if you wanted to sell the goat you could find someone here that would be interested. My brother's been thinking about getting one.

Seriously though, I had a 94 Eclipse and my 68 GTO and one of them had to go, it was a no brainer. If you sell the GTO, you'll probably never forgive yourself. But if you do want to sell, it contact me.

Get two more jobs, and fix the Pontiac up to be what you really wanted in the first place. If you are asking us to decide for you, I think that you just don't have the fortitude to make the hard decisions. We'll make them for you , but you might not follow through

All kidding aside, Mitsu's will only get cheaper, if you ever decide you need another one later!

If it has ti*s or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I would think that since this post started in Feburary he has already decided which car to sell. Or maybe he got over his financial problems and kept both cars.

Sell the mitsubishi while you can still get a respectable price for it and get a decent beater for a daily driver...Beater" does not necessarily mean unreliable either.

If you're as financially in a rut as you say, selling the GTO will only bring about temporary prosperity, and it's doubtful you can re-aquire another one later as they continue to appreciate, and thus be continually out of your reach.
