Right now I'm running an Accell Dual Point.....can this distributer be converted to a Pertronix or do I have to go back to the stock dist?

Gonzo: Thanks for information. I will contact Pertronix. Aside from the wait it performs great. I use it on my race car and it does fine. HEI is tight with a Tri-power.

RetroJoe. What's the problem with the lobe sensing Pertronix? It would seem the fewer parts the less chance for failure.

From what I've been told, if there is any type of wear on the dist. it will try to correct it's self while running causing it to run rough. I have and old email about this setup that I will see if I still have and mail it to you.

My other life has meaning....

Haven't had this problem in any pertronix I installed, My suggestion would be to inspect the distributor before installing it, why would anyone put a worn distributor in their car is a mystery to me.

Under normal conditions (good distributor) pertronix works fine.
