I purchased my dash harness from PY, it came with all the correct connectors, but if you have say a glove box light or a radio, that is considered a seperate harness. The harness fits great, but save your old one because you will probably need some of the seperate wire harnesses that arrach to the main harness. If you have to luxury of taking out the old one (I did not)I would recommend labeling every end with tape telling what it went to and then comparing it to your new one. Good luck.

Thankls Bob with the 66. I will certainly do that .That is good to hear you had good luck with your harness. I will certainly take the advice at labeling the old harness conectors.

One thing I can not stand is electricial problems, When I put my Pontiac back together I made sure to replace all the wiring harnesses and cleaned all the conections. Another good thing that someone told me to do, it just takes a little time is to use star washers at all gound wires and use electic grease in and on all conections so they will not corode. Hope this helps.

I bought this car on december 23rd. It was redone in 89 from what i have learned about the car. The wiring is a mess in this car. Horn did not work nothing under the horn cap to have it work. signals work but shut down when you touch the wiring harness. They also light up when you turn on the headlights. I think your correct when you say the ground is at fault. The wipers also don`t work on low or high only mist. The rest of the electrical is questionable also. So that is why i have decided to put a new dash harness in it.

Sounds like you need to upgrade your wiring. When I hooked up my new harness I only had a couple of things that did not work, and found that the cause was always the ground. I took a dremel tool and cleaned all spots that the groumd wires attached. It takes time but is worth it. Also if your car has been worked on check to see if you have to 2 or 3 original ground straps that ground everthing together. Good luck
All good things are worth waiting for. "Yeah right", I want them now!

Shall I assume that "Nasty" is being used in a good term?
If so thank you very much. (lol...) Have any pictures of your car? I love looking at all Pontiacs. All good things are worth waiting for. "Yeah right", I want them now!

Yes nasty was meant in a favorable way . nice mean looking G. T. O. My car is under construction right now. It is Montreau blue with 400-335 hp. engine His and Hers, black interior. Cragar ss wheels. I will be taking pics when done. Body is excellent and so is frame along with interior. But the rest is in dire need of big time help. Engine is good no smoke, needs tidying up is all. Has a mild cam sound a wee bit lumpy. Will be putting on flowmaster exhaust and new headers. Just have that big desire for a nice dependable muscle car and the 67 gto. was my choice love the looks of them along with the 66.
