70 gto 400/auto my question is about my A/C unit cooling radiator, since my ac is off the car, do i need the radiator in front of the main radiator, i assume i have two radiators, it looks like 2, if so, do i need the first one which is blocking some air flow to the main, and since im getting a little warm on the highway, could this be beneficial for me, also do the mojority of you guys use aftermarket gauges in addition to stock, i see you guys refer to specific temps of the the motor and im wondering how you get such a specific reading on a factory gauge?

if you are not going to run your air any time soon i would take it all off and put it in a safe place so you could go back if you wanted. i have seen where leaves and a lot of other things get traped betwen the radiators. i have a 2 5/8 auto meter guage in my car.

Replace your Fan clutch!
Try a nonthermal one!

if the fan aint thermal, what would caause it to activate.

higher temps at high speeds usually meens retricted radiator flow or malfunctioning fan clutch, thermal fan operates at incoming air temp( from rad.), non thermal operates( depends on) rpm, make sure your fan clutch is not frozen, then consider restriction in rad or blockage ( debris ) in front of rad.( inbetween rad, and a/c condensor in front of rad.)

i have no debris between rad and core, how would you know if the clutch fan was stuck, dont u want the fan to be spinning at all times? at maximum speed also? thanks guys.

Hey , if you have a clutch type fan whether thermal or non, at high speeds if a clutch fan is stuck it will interfere with the the flow of air( fight it) if you try to spin the fan by hand when the car is off, it should spin somewhat freely, hard to explain, but you at least should be able to spin it, a flex type fan ( non clutch) you will not be able to spin it, it flattens out at high speeds therefore not interfering with the incoming airflow

yes,. the fan spins freely while not running, a good sign, i will just wait til i put in a real accurate gauge, then i will know if its actually hot, thanks guys.
