Some time back I had my '65 Bonneville clock converted to a quartz movement.
The people I had do it were by the name of Dave & Kathy Lindquist and they did a fantastic job. I'm really pleased with it. Now I want to get the clock in my '65 Parisienne Convertible done (same clock as a '65 Impala) and at the same time I have a friend with a '65 Corvair Monza who wants his clock converted but we cannot find these people. Anyone got any recommendations for people who can do this and do a good job? Thanks

Buy the kit yourself from OPG for around $50 and do it yourself. I did mine it is pretty simple.

These guys are very good. They converted a clock for my old '65 GP, plus I've had them restore tachometers and speedometers for several other cars and motorcycles with excellent results.

It's been a few years so I don't recall exactly, but the last job they did for me was a resto of a combination speedometer/tach for one of my old bikes. I gave it to them literally as a box full of stripped gears and loose parts, and it came back looking like NOS. If I remember correctly it was around $250 or so for that, which was still cheaper than buying an NOS one (as if I could have even found one.)

Posting this notice must have triggered something because I just heard back from Dave & Kathy Linquist  I've been trying for 14 days without a reply and then tonight they responded!!!! They have replied........ <span class="ev_code_BLUE">I think the Corvair Corsa dash comes with a Borg clock. If so, the cost would be $70 to put a quartz movement in it. Most Corvairs come with a Westclox unit. If that is the case, the cost to quartz this clock would be $120.00. In both cases, the clock will be adjusted with the face know and it will run on the 12 volt system. </span> From memory they charged me about $70.00 for my Bonneville clock so that seems fair to me. I'll be sending them the clock on Monday.
