Hello,

I would like to know if its possible to buy a reproduction of the chrome grill bezels for a 1966 GTO/Lemans. These were the thin "U" shaped chrome Piece's that snapped onto the front of the grill's. I've looked in all the major aftermarket catalogs and can't find them. Thanks in advance for your help. Dan

Dan,

At this time, to the best of my knowledge, there is no repro being done. One other piece of info, the grill trim pieces are actually anodized aluminum, not chromed pieces. In order to refinish them, you would have to send them to a place that can strip the anodizing, polish them and then re-anodize.

If you want to refinish the trim yourself, you can strip the anodization off of the alumunum with E-Z Off oven cleaner. Let them sit for about 15 minutes, and then clean them off with an sos pad. You may need to do them twice but it will work. Then repolish them with the kit available from Eastwood. I did mine last summer and they aren't perfect, but they look 200% better than before.
