When a fuel cell and battery are located in the trunk is there a specific thickness of metal needed to use behind the backseat and on top of the package tray? Also does it have to be sheet metal or can it be aluminum?

Also, remember in some cars at least there is a quite direct path open from the trunk area to the rear quarter window area, if you remove the quarter windows and mechanisms and replace them with fixed Lexan ewindows. When I sealed off the trunk in my '64 GTO, I welded some sheet metal into the bottoms of the rear quarter window openings (it's hard to describe the openings, but if you check in the area where the quarter windows are, you'll see what I mean). Maybe I'm neurotic, but I don't like the idea of sharing the passenger compartment with a bunch of race fuel.
