On my 79 T/A, so far I've run the 26x12.50 ET Street and the 28x11.50 ET Street and they fit nice with a 15x8 Snowflake rim with 4.5" of backspacing. The critical area to watch for tire rub is the lower front area of the wheelwell, about where one of the rear seat mounting bolts can be seen. There's a little "bulge" there that may need some coaxing with a 5 lb. hammer to clear the sidewall of the tire. My 28x11.50's never rubbed there, but the 26x12.50's would occasionally rub on the sidewalls in this area when making the turn-around on the return road at the strip.
