After buying new coil spring from Ames Performance, I installed them in my 70 GTO. Well, after it was done, naturally, I realized that we installed the passenger side one upside down--with the spray painted end on the bottom instead of up top. The goat rides and sits fine and the spring seemed to have seated correctly during install and there was not a noticeable difference between the two ends of the spring. Is this going to be a problem that I should fix soon or if the car rides OK, can I just leave it?
Thanks

I am getting ready to do this to my car. I bought hotkis springs. To me the top and the bottom of the spring look exactly the same. Is that a true statement?

thanks

Well, Mine looked similar, except one end had a painted dot on the end that I saw, after nstall, the box said to install up (no otherinstruction sheet came with it) . If yours don't have a mark, I don't think it would matter. And mine were similar enough, and based on gtoformula's reply (thanks), that I'm going to leave them alone. good luck with yours.
