I am ready to paint the metal portion of my dash and would like to paint the upper collars on the column as well.
How difficult is it to remove these for painting? Thanks Randy |

I work in the factory where steering columsare built back in the 70'S most were painted aftre the colum was already built .
I think if you take you wheel and levers off the colum and cover the top with masking tape you will be good to spray away. scuff it with a scotch brite pad and make sure you clean it good first before you paint. |

Thanks Lanny. The more I looked at I decided to do just that. Since I have the dash out anyway, it makes sense.
