Does anybody have a different idea on mounting a dual electric fan on an aluminum radiator besides the plastic tie straps or welding brackets on to the radiator? The plastic strap's keep coming loose and I really don't want to weld on my expensive alum. radiator.

If you have say 1" more that the fan thickness to play with, I have found a way to fabricate a very simple shroud to which you attach the fans. I did it with two 12s. Check out the spal twin setup, its like that. If you are interested, I E mail you pics. I have trouble posting pics here for some reason.

Thanks Jim, it sounds close but I may have enough room. If you could send the pics I would appreciate it. E-mail to: [email protected] Thanks again!

Be Cool markets a very nice bracket kit for the Spal electric fan but maybe it can be used on other brands if adapted. The mounts clip over the radiator and use slots to position the electric fan in the appropriate position.
