I just have two questions. I want to change my Turbo 350 to a Turbo 400 in my 66 LeMans. First - I need a short shaft turbo 400, right? Second - Do I need to get a new gas pedal with an electronic switch for boosting tranny pressure or will it work with a normal kickdown cable like a turbo 350?

The turbo 400 uses an electric type kick down rather than the cable style your 350 would use.
Lokar makes a nice looking aluminum type if you are into custom. The correct name for the original style switch is a detent switch I believe. All it does is works as an on - off switch controlled by the foot. Hopefully this has helped you a bit! Good Luck.

You're original two speed used the same throttle pedal switch. Is it still there?
